  • Do I need to pay a deposit in order to book an appointment? How much does it cost?
In order to book an appointment, a deposit is required and it is not refundable. Once it is confirmed that the artist has agreed to take on the tattoo project, we will provide you with the estimated cost of the tattoo, the date, time and deposit information. Deposit cost ranges from £100 - £200. However, this varies depending on the size of the tattoo and the duration of the tattoo appointment.
  • How much does a tattoo cost?
The pricing of a tattoo varies depending on the artist, size, placement on the body and complexity of the design. Our studio minimum charge is £150 - £350 per hour/ tattoo. Although please keep in mind that each artist charges differently.
  • Do you perform cover-up tattoos?
This depends on the artist's style and design. Our artists will give their honest opinion, however in many cases, attending laser removal sessions is highly recommended for artists to do their best job.
  • Tattoo Aftercare
After your tattoo appointment, your artist will provide you with detailed instructions regarding their preferred aftercare procedure. If you are booked in with our resident artists, you will receive an automated follow up email regarding the tattoo aftercare instruction.
  • Touch up policy
Every artist has a different touch up policy, please get in touch with your artist for more information. Please get in touch if you need assistance with this matter.
  • Can I go on holiday with a fresh tattoo?
We highly advise you to stay out of any direct sunlight, sunbeams or do any sunbathing after getting tattooed. This also include saunas, swimming pools or beaches. We recommend you to wait for at least 2-3 weeks after getting tattooed before going on holiday.
  • How do I prepare for my tattoo?
In the days leading up to your tattoo, make sure you are well rested, well fed and well hydrated. Make sure you have eaten a good size meal a couple of hours before your appointment. Try to avoid drinking alcohol because it thins the blood which will affect your healing process. Make sure to moisturise the area being tattooed for the week up until the appointment. Wear dark loose clothes (less danger of ink stains) that will give the artist access to the area of your body being tattooed. Bring sugary snacks and drinks with you to the appointment in case they are needed.
  • Do you tattoo all skin colours/tones?
Yes, we welcome everyone to be tattooed in our studio, regardless of different skin colours/tones.
  • Can I bring friends/family to my appointment?
While you are more than welcome for someone to bring you along to your appointment, due to limited space in our studio, we can't allow people to be waiting around while the tattoo is taking place.
  • What is the minimum age requirement at the studio?
At EXP Haus, the minimum age requirement for getting tattooed is 18+. No exceptions will be made even with parental/guardian permission.
  • Can I see my design ahead of the appointment?
Unfortunately, artists won't provide you with a design before your appointment, due to occurrences of copyright infringement. When you get to your appointment, the artist will show you your design - but will be fully prepared to make any changes or alterations that you may prefer. As much as we endeavour to get it perfectly right first time, we understand it is unlikely so are happy to work with you on the day to make it meet your specifications. If you want to book in to have a consultation with the artist ahead of your tattoo appointment to go through the design face-to-face, then contact us and we will find a time to book you in.
  • Is it possible to tattoo over scars?
Each scar is different, so for a professional opinion we would recommend either popping into the studio if you're local or sending us an email on with pictures of the scar and the body placement.
  • Do you use vegan ink?
All of the artists here at Exp Haus use vegan ink and we try to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as a tattoo studio as possible.
  • Do you do piercings?
At this moment in time we are a tattoo only studio.
  • What languages do you speak?
Other than English, we speak Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Polish and Chinese (both mandarin and cantonese).
